Trying to do some shots of smallish items with good focus. Dinah Lance here was a good subject. Unfortunately, I didn’t remove the background items as much as I wanted to.
I totally need to build a table top studio for stuff like this.
An attempt to take a photo and post it every day in 2011
We had smoke from the wild fires in Minnesota. I was about 15 minutes too late to catch the sunset, but I wanted to try to capture the haze that smoke from a fire 550 miles away created. (Too bad there’s no easy way to capture the smell.) I don’t think I was fully successful, but it was worth a try.
Just one of the petals gave up the ghost so far.
(Dan pointed out that this flower is commonly called “Black Eyed Susan” but according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudbeckia_hirta, “Yellow Daisy” is another common name. So, sloth wins and the current title stays.)
