I keep the camera set up on auto-white-balance because I can always fix it after the fact. I think due to the low f stop, I got the orange tint. I did a color correction on it and its cold and evil feeling. This has much more warmth.
Yeah, sometimes the color correction in Photoshop has surprising negative effect on the photo. I do like the orange tint here. I’ve taken some pictures of my daughter purposely with the “wrong” white balance (“cloudy” while in an indoor room filled with diffused sunlight) just to warm up her skin tone a bit and give the photo a different feel. Here’s one example (assuming the link to the photo from Facebook will work). It didn’t look as good with the “correct” white balance.
