Took another shot of the capitol now that I can do better night shots. I did a longer exposure to get building detail besides the highly illuminated dome. I had the camera on top of “tourist” binocular, I’ll need to bring a tripod next time.

Photo 297: San Francisco at night (cheat day)

So, today is a cheat day. Sarah and I spent 3/4 of the day flying back from San Francisco, and the last quarter of the day with the kids and preparing for work and I didn’t have photograph time. So I cheated on my self-imposed rules. But you get a bonus San Francisco shot.

Photo 209: the Biltmore Hotel
I’m staying at the Biltmore Hotel while on a business trip. Â This is the second time I’ve been here, its a beautiful place. Â This is the first time I used the pool, reported to be the largest hotel pool in the US. Â It was good looking, and I was able to take these three shots here.
I’m glad I brought along the gorillapod because they are all 1s or longer.
Normally I’d thumbnail the bonus shots, but I like them enough to match the size of the featured shot.
